State-41 Media is a marketing shop, founded by Jennifer Lawson. We partner with Montana businesses and organizations to plan and implement results-driven projects, large and small. We are experienced in developing and delivering effective, targeted messaging across popular media platforms – connecting you to your audience to make an impact that matters.

                      JENNIFER LAWSON

                           Founder & Strategist

Jennifer is an award-winning Communications & Marketing Strategist, Writer, and Producer with more than two decades of experience in Montana and Washington, DC. Her experience includes creating promotional projects for network television, non-profit organizations, federal and state government agencies, and major corporations. 

For nearly a decade, Jennifer was a producer for the CBS News’ Washington Bureau where she worked for CBS This Morning and 48 Hours on topics including politics, health, education, and culture. 

While in Washington, D.C., she was a producer and writer for Home Front Communications, and GMMB, Inc. where her clients included; The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, American Cancer Society, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and National Public Radio’s ‘All Things Considered’. 

 

Jennifer’s career highlights include writing and producing video projects narrated by Jeff Bridges, Tom Brokaw, and Sam Elliott.

Over the past decade, Jennifer has worked in Montana in public relations and marketing for state government agencies, including Montana State Parks.  As Marketing & Communications Manager for State Parks, she established and expanded the division’s visibility through television, radio, social media, along with developing a new website, and corporate partnership promotional campaigns. In addition, Jennifer raised more than $100k in corporate and foundation sponsorships for the State Parks’ marketing program. 

Jennifer received a Special Achievement Award for Outstanding Service in 2014 from the State Parks Division, and a New Media & Marketing Award in 2012 from the Montana Trails, Recreation and Park Association. 

Since founding State-41 Media, LLC in 2015, Jennifer developed a corporate responsibility campaign for broadcast, digital, print, and web on behalf of Stillwater Mining Company – the only platinum and palladium mine in the US, and one of the largest employers in Montana. Today, S41 clients include; Montana Hospital Association and Eaton Turner Jewelry. 

Jennifer has a B.A. in Speech Communications from Miami University in Ohio. She lives in Helena, Montana with her family.
